Because the 2014 Tucson International Airport Master Plan Update provides a framework for future facility and infrastructure development to accommodate airport activity demand forecasted through 2030, key stakeholder and community input into the planning process was vital.
Gordley drafted and implemented the public involvement plan for the airport’s plan update process and advised on strategies and tactics for outreach to both internal and external stakeholders. We staged a public meeting and assisted with meetings involving governmental, economic and land development stakeholders to introduce the project, receive input, and address concerns. Our team designed and implemented a website for the master plan update. The website was clear, engaging and easy to understand, allowing users to download information and leave comments. We designed a comprehensive and yet easily understood brochure which functioned as an executive summary of the 100-page master plan document.
