Contamination is among one of the largest challenges The City of Tucson’s Environmental Services department faces with its recycling efforts. To address this challenge head on, the organization partnered with Gordley Group to develop advertising that brings awareness to the topic, while also providing education on the proper ways to recycle.
Through a series of print advertisements, truck signage displayed in English and Spanish, and social media animations, The City of Tucson is now positioned to efficiently and effectively communicate to its customers in an engaging and effective way about what items should and should not be placed in blue recycle bins.
To support the City of Tucson’s Zero Waste goal, Environmental Services called upon Gordley Group to help inform the public about the initiative, which involved the long-term goal of rerouting the cycle of waste throughout the City so it could be reused
as production material instead of deposited in the landfill. The client wanted to create marketing and informational materials
that presented a high-level framework and vision of the project. Andrés and the creative team developed a unique logo that
was utilized across all marketing and informational materials for the event. In addition, Andrés was tasked with the development
of various collateral materials, including a bill insert for residents that informed them of a multi-department Zero Waste event,
along with event materials and signage.
