Southwest Gas Corporation selected Gordley Group to help strengthen and build positive relationships with the Southern Arizona communities Southwest Gas serves. Over the past nine years, we have collaborated with Southwest Gas to directly address public concerns related to numerous project improvements and construction through public outreach and community relations. Our efforts have included direct-mail campaigns, coordination with city and school district officials, follow-up phone calls to businesses and door-to-door canvassing of neighborhoods.
Additionally, Gordley staffs a 24-hour hotline to field customer questions and concerns and provide information whenever needed, such as private-property access and impacts within the construction areas. We also designed and placed Southwest Gas’ first digital advertisements to notify residents, businesses and members of the traveling public of construction project impacts. This outreach brought 670 new users to the Southwest Gas website and increased the traffic on the construction project page by 83%, resulting in the continuing use of digital outreach. This campaign has been awarded two Public Relations Society of America Impact Awards.
