We are excited to announce that Gordley was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America Southern Arizona Chapter by selecting our work for four IMPACT Awards of Excellence and, impressively, a tie for “Best in Show” for two of those entries.
Though not unusual to have a tie for top honors, it was unique that the two Best in Show recognitions were created by the same firm. Judges recognized our exceptional creative work on the City of Tucson General Plan update, called “Plan Tucson,” as well as our 2022 holiday card.
“We are passionate about creating new and innovative approaches to communications and engagement and are happy our work resonates with not only our clients, but more importantly, with the community,” said Jan Gordley, President of Gordley Group.
The first IMPACT Award we received was in the category of “Government/Public Affairs” for our work in the Plan Tucson branded outreach campaign on behalf of the City, with one of the PRSA judges commenting, “I think it was a fabulous campaign - Tucson is lucky to have you!”
Our second IMPACT Award was in the category of “Website” for our effort with MHC Healthcare’s Family Residency Program to develop a website that enticed medical students pursuing a career as primary care physicians in family medicine to join MHC’s residency program. One of the judges wrote, “Jumping into a new market, the organization did its homework which proved invaluable in developing a website that matched the specific needs of the medical program and interest of potential applicants.”
The judges also recognized our team with a third IMPACT Award in the category of “Website” for our work on a newly designed site for the Town of Sahuarita’s Parks & Recreation Department that led to increased user engagement and a doubling in the number of the department’s email newsletter subscriptions. One of the judges wrote, “I love knowing that this campaign was a success and had a positive impact on the residents of Sahuarita - bravo!”
Gordley’s fourth IMPACT Award for “Creative Collateral” was received for our annual holiday card, a creative gratitude piece shared with our clients and friends that featured scannable Spotify codes that linked to our staff’s individual playlists. One judge wrote, “The idea for the card was so fun and unique…Great job all around!”
