FREELANCE WEBSITE DEVELOPER
We are seeking a freelance website developer experienced in back-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript). The candidate would work closely with the Gordley creative team to execute web design needs. Tucson-based developer preferred.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Leads and manages public involvement and public relations projects and teams.
Writes, edits and proofreads various written informational and marketing materials for the company and clients, including researching subject matter and fact-checking.
Manages client relations, planning and staging of meetings and special events, including open houses, public meetings and hearings, community advisory committee meetings, dedications, groundbreakings, etc.
Advises clients on strategies addressing new, changing or challenging situations.
Assists with overseeing budget management of projects and the department.
Assists Community Relations Director with company marketing, personnel and management issues, and participates in solutions.
Collaborates with Community Relations Director to define and manage resources needed for projects, including project budgets.
Generates name awareness and recognition with decision-makers and influencers on behalf of clients and the firm.
Coordinates with the Creative Department to appropriately direct and craft publicity and communications, to align with Creative messages.
Education and Experience
Degree in communications, English, journalism or similar area of study is preferred.
Three to five years' experience in a comparable position.
Proven oral and written communications skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including computer, copy machine, printers, etc.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.; read printed materials and a computer screen; and communicate in person and over the phone.
Access to a vehicle and able to drive at night.
Excellent communication, writing, organizational and time-management skills; must be comfortable with deadlines and multitasking.
Knowledge of and proficiency with The Associated Press (AP) stylebook and general grammar.
Proofreading written content for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and syntax; consistency in style, language and formatting; and verifying accuracy of reported information, names, dates, etc.
Knowledge of and proficiency with International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Planning, Communication and Methods.
Knowledge of the full range of communications media and methods, and the most effective ways of utilizing them, including traditional and online outlets.
Basic mathematical computations, accounting and record-keeping; budgeting theories and principles.
Professional human relations skills, including respect, diplomacy, courteousness, empathy and tact expressed in communication, appreciation and feedback in a team setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet browsers and Adobe Acrobat.
Standard office administrative practices and procedures, including use of standard office equipment.
Knowledge of the transportation industry and processes, including federal requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act, is preferred but not required.
Fluency in speaking and writing in Spanish is a plus.
