TUCSON, Ariz. – Gordley Group, one of Southern Arizona’s leading communications and marketing firms, announced that Gabriella (Gaby) Kemp has been hired as Public Involvement Manager. Kemp will lead many of Gordley’s major public involvement efforts, utilizing her extensive experience in public involvement project management to provide strategy, implementation and individual support for clients including Arizona Department of Transportation, Southwest Gas and Tucson Electric Power to maximize their community engagement on a variety of projects and initiatives.
Kemp brings over 15 years of experience in bilingual public communications, nearly six years as a Senior Community Relations Officer for the Arizona Department of Transportation and a comprehensive background in English and Spanish language news media including KVOA and Univision. Her notable projects for ADOT include bridge replacement/widening projects in Yuma, Parker and Surprise. She also participated in several bi-national border planning studies.
In her role as Senior Community Relations Officer for the Arizona Department of Transportation, she was instrumental in the communications plan for the San Luis Streets Improvement Project, which earned the Partnering Excellence Award from the State of Arizona.
A native of Arizona, Kemp is a graduate of Arizona State University and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Managerial Communications. She is certified in planning and communications by the International Association for Public Participation, and is an active member of the National Association of Government Communicators and the Association for Women in Communications.
