  • Role: Fit the puzzle pieces together.

I started at Gordley in 2004 as a temporary receptionist. My only constant is change, and my role continues to evolve. As public involvement manager, I help our group run efficiently and with staff development. I develop numerous public participation programs to fulfill the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act and other government regulations, while making sure that the public is involved in the most meaningful way for both our clients and the community. As copywriter, I draft, edit and proofread public notification materials, meeting summaries, questionnaires, newsletters, articles, news releases, fact sheets and content for websites. My favorite challenge is to find a way to make dry, technical information engaging and easily understood by the general public. I enjoy building relational databases that help us and our clients track project interaction with the public. I also develop and train staff members on systems and processes that help us meet our core value of quality. In addition to working at Gordley, I’m pursuing a degree in Creative Writing at the UA, and I’m mom to a son who is a better teacher than any university professor could ever be.
